DC Comics has announced that Batman/Superman will be the variant cover theme for the month of March 2016.

With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice arriving at the end of March, it makes sense for DC Comics to run a variant theme month featuring the two characters. Like the Harley Quinn variant cover month, all of the books involved in the event will be black polybags that feature artwork from some of the industry’s greatest talent.

  • BATMAN #50 – Polybagged variant cover by JIM LEE
  • DETECTIVE COMICS #50 – Polybagged variant cover by RAFAEL GRAMPA
  • BATGIRL #50 – Polybagged variant cover by KEVIN NOWLAN
  • GRAYSON #18 – Polybagged variant cover by STEPHEN PLATT
  • ROBIN: SON OF BATMAN #10 – Polybagged variant cover by RYAN OTTLEY
  • BATMAN/SUPERMAN #30 – Polybagged variant cover by TONY MOORE
  • SUPERMAN #50 – Polybagged variant cover by KAARE ANDREWS
  • ACTION COMICS #50 – Polybagged variant cover by MARTIN ANSIN
  • SUPERMAN/WONDER WOMAN #27 – Polybagged variant cover by CHARLIE ADLARD
  • WONDER WOMAN #50 – Polybagged variant cover by MASSIMO CARNEVALE

What DC hasn’t said, and hasn’t confirmed with the Harley Quinn polybags is the potential for your polybag to contain an original cover sketch variant. It’s certainly something to hope you get, but the chance of me nabbing one of those is slim. Still, the variants I picked up for this month’s Harley Quinn run have turned out to be very nice.

Will you be getting one of the black polybags for Batman/Superman month?
