My top five in no particular order:
Tamriel
The main second world in Ni No Kuni
Whatever world the latest Dragon Quest/Dragon Quest Monsters game is in
[insert pokemon region here]
But definitely #1:
Between my set of headphones listening to soundtracks.
I have seriously sunk so much time into Tamriel. I don’t ever say how much because that brings out the toppers. It’s a place where you can have an epic battle with a dragon, become the god of madness, or cultivate a pleasant garden.
It’s a bit of a hard place to come by, but a new book in a warm house on a cold day. It’s especially good when it’s raining and the book is thick.
Those first few moments in the morning with my webcomics. It’s lovely when I have about 20 minutes before I have to go anywhere and I can burn through them in one mini adventure after another.
My church. I realize a lot of people have been burned by their church. It’s common for the people who rely on God’s forgiveness to be unforgiving, and who count on God’s graciousness to be ungracious. Even at my church, which I love, there are undercurrents of those attitudes, but the leaders recognize and fight them.
My family lives far away in different states and countries, but when we can get together, it’s peaceful and happy times.
