The CW announced at the Television Critics Association press tour presentation on Tuesday that Matt Ryan will reprise his role as John Constantine (from the recently cancelled NBC series), in the fourth season of the DC flagship show Arrow.

CW President Mark Pedowitz announced that Constantine will appear in Arrow episode 4.5 titled Haunted – a title that feels stunningly appropriate for the character. Earlier today Arrow star Stephen Amell tweeted to Constantine star Matt Ryan welcoming him to the show.

My Wife just shouted out load at this news. She Loved Constantine and was really sad when it was canceled. She refused to watch Arrow, but now she said she would have to watch it.

SEE?!?!?! Like I said, I was giving it til the end of the year before throwing in the towel. It may not be a revival of Constantine, but it isn’t closing the door on the character, so it works for me. Who knows, it might eventually work out and lead in to another spin-off focusing on superhatural forces of the DCU (Dr. Fate, The Spectre, etc.).
