In Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Dr. Jones and his companions were tasked with retrieving the Sankara Stones that had been stolen by a evil cult. While Indiana was successful, turns out the stones have been stolen again.

Adam Savage of Mythbusters fame, took his stones to the San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, and during his Cinephile event Saturday evening, someone walked off with the stones.

It sucks when some low-life scuff runs off with other people’s property. Rare items including art prints, comics, and props routinely get stolen at Comic-Con, and to my knowledge very few have ever shown up or have been recovered. Adam is very tapped into the replica and original prop market, so if someone is going to try and sell these, that person will get caught pretty quickly.

In case you are wondering, Amrish Puri passed away in 2005.
