Yesterday marked my first year of being a Major Spoilers Silver VIP member. (Had I not been out of town running lights on a rock n roll show at a small town festival in a place without any phone service I would have posted then haha). Over a year ago I was looking to start up a DnD campaign as I knew people who expressed interest in playing DnD but no one was running a game until I decided to try DMing. Having not really played since middle school–right around the time of the first Gulf War–I was looking around for things to listen to at work to get ideas on how to run a game and found this podcast. Instantly fell in love with it and binge-listened to it while working my day job building lighting control consoles and other theatre-related electronics. I may or may not have shamelessly borrowed several elements of the first couple seasons of Critical Hit to get things going. Anyway, Critical Hit and Zach on Film are perhaps my two all-time favorite podcasts ever–I was near to a double major in film production so ZoF appeals to my inner film nerd. So keep up the amazing work, belated congratulations to Steven for taking the plunge to make this a full-time gig, and I look forward to hearing this next installment! (Side note, not sure if any of the MS/CH fellows are going to GenCon this year but I’ll bring some of my states best microbrew offerings in case I run into any of you because Wisconsin beer is best beer!)
Thank you for all of your support! We REALLY appreciate your contributions!
Realized after I posted I spelled Stephen incorrectly, sorry about that haha. In my defence I’ve got a Steven as a housemate.
I think what cracked me up the most during the 101 car jokes spree was Rodrigo’s “I’m a part of this, too! :D”
Aaand my second favourite part of this episode (can you tell I’m writing these comments as I’m listening?): Rob saying, “Too bad he slipped on a squash!” in prompt riposte to Brian, so it was like an advantage one-up match.
Fate combat can be pretty interesting ’cause of this mechanic, methinks!
Just finished listening to this episode and couldn’t believe my ears when I heard Matthew do a Jerry Clower reference by naming off all of the Ledbetter children. I fell over laughing when I heard it, and the many many car jokes.
