Variety reports that Stephen Amell has been cast to play Casey Jones in the next Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

The Arrow star tested for the role the past weekend, and was offered the part of the Casey Jones.

2008KevinEastman-CaseyJonesArnold Bernid “Casey” Jones is a fictional character from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics and all related media. Like the turtles, Casey Jones is a vigilante, and was created as a parody of vigilante characters that were in comics. Casey has long, black hair and he wears a hockey mask and sometimes cut-off biking gloves and carries his weapons in a golf bag over his shoulder.

His weapons include baseball bats, golf clubs, cricket bats, and hockey sticks. He is a master of stealth, as he has never been caught by the NYPD despite his bizarre appearance. In most installments, he becomes a love interest of April O’Neil.

Megan Fox will reprise her role of April O’Neil, with Will Arnett is expected to return as Vern Fenwick.

While we don’t have any plot details, we do know it is arriving in 2016 from Paramount.  For those of you who thought the idea of the movie was awful (especially with Michael Bay directing), keep in mind the movie made $485 million worldwide on a $125 million budget.

Everyone needs to boycott this movie and hope that people stop giving Michael Bay money.
