According to Variety (and other sources), Warner Bros. has found its director for the upcoming Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot.

Michelle MacLaren has been in talks for a while, and it looks like everything is wrapped up and she is set to develop and direct the movie scheduled to arrive in theaters in 2017.  At the time of this post, Warner Bros. has not released an official statement, but every single has a person on the inside confirming this is a go.

Many of you may know Maclaren from here work on Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, and that oh so popular show Breaking Bad.

I personally think it’s great they decided to go with a female director. An icon like WW needs to have a female in charge so as to be a genuine female pov movie.
