The new creative team behind Batgirl Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher and Babs Tarr took to twitter to share first looks at a Batgirl Black and White statue that looks amazing, but unfortunately, won’t hit retailers until September 2015.

It appears that DC, in the wake of their incredibly successful Batman Black and White and Superman Man of Steel statue lines, have finally decided to add another female character to this roster. Wonder Woman is set to have her own series launching in January – the first female character to be featured in this style. As for the Batgirl statue, it is absolutely stunning and features the latest costume reboot that has aesthetically resonated with fans since its first release.

Additionally, this tweet by DC co-publisher Jim Lee promises more Batgirl Black and White statues to come opening the possibilities of Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown and maybe even Oracle.

Eh I’ll stick with the Artgerm statue I have on order from Sideshow. Sorry, but this new Batgirl just isn’t for me.
