While many celebrated with candy and costumes, Steam celebrated with a new holiday themed sale, brining hundreds of games within reach of gamers. Which titles would I pick up? Let me tell you.

The Wolf Among UsWolfAmongUsLogo

Developer: TellTale Games
Regular Price: $24.99
Sale Price: $12.49

A narrative driven game by the same company that put together the Walking Dead series (more on that down below) set in the world of Bill Willingham’s Fables? Sounds worth it to me. The Wold Among Us has been given raving reviews by almost everyone who has sat down to play it, so you know you will get your monies worth. Also, the full story has been released at this point so that means no more waiting for new episodes to come out.

Don’t Starve + Reign of Giants DLCdontstarve

Developer: Klei Entertainment
Regular Price: $18.99
Sale Price: $10.44

I have already logged a few hours into Don’t Starve and it has been one of my favorite crafting/survival games that I have played. With it’s quirky art style combined with hours upon hours of exploring this game is certainly worth your while. Why I’m looking at this one though is because of the Reign of Giants DLC. You can pick up both on the cheap for $10.44 or, if you are like me, can simply grab the DLC for a cool $2.99.

Slender: The Arrivalslender_the_arrival

Developer: Blue Isle Studios
Regular Price: $9.99
Sale Price: $4.49

It’s the Halloween Sale so are we not obligated to pick up a game that will send shivers down your spine and running out of the room looking for the first light switch and cuddly blanket? That’s why I’m looking to pick up Slender: The Arrival during this sale. I’ll admit that even watching the trailer of the game page had me second guessing any intentions of hitting “Add to Cart” for this game, but I must face my fears and experience this horror game for myself! (Maybe)

Poltergeist: A Pixelated Horrorpoltergeist-pixelated-header

Developer: Glitchy Pixel
Regular Price: $7.99
Sale Price: $7.19

A strategy game that forces you to think about how to scare people out of a house with pixelated graphics? Sounds like a good time to me. Poltergeist: A Pixelated Horror just released this week and I have had my eye on it the whole time. I mean it has guest appearances from characters of the Ghostbusters, how does this not sound wonderful? And with a price tag of $$$ I may just be adding this to my shopping cart.

The Walking Dead: Season 2the-walking-dead-game-season-2-walkthrough

Developer: TellTale Games
Regular Price: $24.99
Sale Price: $12.49

Do you want a heavy dose of emotion with your zombie tales? Then this is the game for you. Now I haven’t finished the first season of The Walking Dead, but it was filled with hard-core decision making and they don’t let you ponder your decision for an episode. The more life threatening the choice the faster you have to make it. I can only assume that the second season, which just released its final episode, takes it up another notch with Clementine being your main character. Oh, and if you haven’t played the first season, you can grab that for under $7 during the sale also.

The Halloween Sale ends November 3rd at 10 am Pacific Time, so you have just enough time to go take a look at these games or find other titles on sale, like Fall Out: New Vegas or Bioshock: 2. Happy Gaming!

P.S. Friend me on Steam (young_zach) and we can totally see what games everyone is playing! Party time!
