Finally, Superman is confronted by a ghost from Krypton! Don’t miss out!
JASON: I’m sad to see this digital first series end; it was a great way for all kinds of creators to tell solid stories of Superman with his underwear still on.

MATTHEW: I’ve been remarkably happy with this series so far, especially given my appreciation of the original Marvel Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze. This book was apparently on the verge of cancellation, but I’m glad it escaped the axe for now. You should give it a chance…

It’s a must-have for any fan of Scott Snyder’s groundbreaking work!
WAYNE: I loved the “Court of Owls” collection that also had a mask with it, so I can’t wait to pick up this excellent set as well! I bet “The Face” that’s included with this volume will become one of the big Joker masks for this year’s celebration of Halloween! Highly recommended!

Bob’s Burgers is an animated sitcom that airs on Fox television with other hits such as The Simpsons and Family Guy.
RODRIGO: The best part about the Bob’s Burgers comics is that I get to hear the character’s voices in my head. All those hilarious dudes pretending to be ladies.

MATTHEW: Where the heck has Booster Gold been? I’m interested in finding out…
STEPHEN: A new Booster Gold book!? Sign me up! Now bring back Ted Kord, dammit!
BUTTERFLY #1
Writers: Arash Amel, Marguerite Bennett
Artist: Antonio Fuso
Publisher: Archaia
SOLICITATION: Butterfly is one of Project Delta’s deep cover agents, no birth certificate, no social security number, a complete ghost. When her cover is blown and she is set up for a murder she did not commit, she is unknowingly led to her father’s doorstep, a man she thought died 20 years ago. Codenamed Nightingale, her father was once a member of the very same Project Delta, a spy in the violent aftermath of the Cold War, and believes they are behind her setup. Trained to trust nothing and no one, Butterfly must decide whether to seek answers with the Project, or believe the man who betrayed her years ago.
PAIGE: Crime fiction is my antidrug and as this series is being compared to series like True Detective and House of Cards, I’m immediately sucked in. I can’t wait to see how this pans out.
RODRIGO: This is going to be one that comes down to execution for me. It looks cool but could turn into a big young-woman-searching-for-her-father cliche.
CHEW #43
Writer: John Layman

Publisher: Image Comics
Cover Price: $2.99
SOLICITATION: “CHICKEN TENDERS,” Part Three Olive. Poyo. Colby.
ROB: So this guy, he gets psychic impressions off the food he eats, and he can use those impressions to solve crimes, which he has been. Three factions must join to save the pair – Cutter and his companions, Ember’s own Wolfriders, and the mysterious realm of elfin spirits. If they fail, the lovers may die. If they succeed, what shattering secrets will be revealed and new threats unleashed?
WAYNE: Every Wednesday that this book comes out, it’s a great comics week! This wonderful story deserves your support and readership! I’m lucky enough to be a long-term fan, but you don’t have to be to enjoy this comic! Don’t miss it as the Elves near the end of their journey!
GHOSTBUSTERS #20
Writer: Erik Burnham
Artist: Dan Schoening
Publisher: IDW Publishing
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: THE FINAL ISSUE OF GHOSTBUSTERS! Mass Hysteria comes to an end and the Ghostbusters discover the price of driving Tiamat from the city, county, and state of New York! But just because the Big Bad is beaten, it doesn’t mean psychokinetic shenanigans are on the wane — there’s always another job on deck for the boys (and girls!) in grey! Don’t miss the bombastically chaotic conclusion to IDW’s ghoulishly ground-breaking GHOSTBUSTERS run!
ROB: Mixed feelings on this one. The final issue should be a blast, and a great send off for the absolutely fantastic run that this was, but I don’t really want to see it end. Either way, come see the Ghostbusters take on the biggest challenge they ever have as Tiamat tries to take over New York.

MATTHEW: Scarlett in charge of an all-new G.I. Joe? That alone makes this one worth a look for me…
LUMBERJANES #6
Writer: Grace Ellis, Noelle Stevenson
Artist: Brooke Allen
Publisher: BOOM! Studios
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: It’s a race back to the cave for the Lumberjanes, this time with Diane and Jen in tow! There is more going on with these wolves and their gold eyes than the girls can figure out on their own, but with too much mystery surrounding Rosie it looks they have to go back to square one. Hopefully, this trip to the cave will have more answers.
PAIGE: I adore Jen to bits and am really looking forward to seeing her in this issue. The humor of Lumberjanes is superb and it’s always worth looking at.
STEPHEN: This is a smart, cute, fun book, and I’m glad BOOM! Studios had the sense to make it happen.

Blending 2001: A Space Odyssey with Blade Runner, ROCHE LIMIT is the first part of a bold sci-fi/noir trilogy.
RODRIGO: The cool thing about reading Sci-Fi comics right now is that you never know whether you’re reading the first draft of a movie or not.
SAGA #23
Writer: Brian K Vaughan

SOLICITATION: Betrayal.
PAIGE: Saga is one of the most compelling series around and I can’t wait to get my hands on this issue. The art and story are to die for, and with the plot continuing to thicken around Alana and Marko, I’m on the edge of my seat.
SAMURAI JACK #12
Writer: Jim Zub

Publisher: IDW Publishing
Cover Price: $3.99
SOLICITATION: Aku senses Jack’s unexpected new flaw and calls forth a manhunt like no other. Soldiers, monsters, and bounty hunters scour the land for the weakened samurai warrior. Is anywhere safe?
ROB: Going into issue #12, I can safely say that Jim Zub has captured much of what made Samurai Jack such a compelling series to begin with. And now Jack’s quest has become even more difficult than it ever was before, as he has lost the strongest weapon he had against Aku.
SPORTING SALT #1-3
Writer: Yuto Kubota
Artist: Yuto Kubota

Cover Price: 0.99
SOLICITATION: The JUMP START initiative continues with Sporting Salt, a manga series about the exciting world of sports…medicine? Hiroyuki’s on a mission to become the best sports doctor around! Can he do it?!
BECKY: I occasionally dip into the genre of sports manga, but sports medicine? This is a twist I wasn’t expecting. Looking forward to a variety of sports and therefore vastly different action sequences to help keep it the action fresh. Also, the potential awesome techniques done in the world of sports medicine. The art looks fun, too.

Don’t miss this all-new adventure produced in association with Star Trek screenwriter/producer Roberto Orci!
WAYNE: It’s the movie Enterprise crew meeting up with Benjamin Sisko and his “federation” of rebels with Q pulling the strings! This week is the halfway point for this “fascinating” event that’s got me reading the book again! I highly recommend this for all Trek fans!
