Even if it’s not the start of your weekend (Shout-Out to my weekend proletariat! Weird work schedules represent!), there’s something special about a Friday. At my day job, it’s actually one of the busiest days for actual work content, but people tend to be generally less stressy, and I know that I get to watch ‘Smackdown’, the wrestling B-Show, where there is a lot more chance of young, inexperienced guys totally blowing a promo or finishing move. Being on the cutting edge of pop culture, I’m reminded of the words of the great philosopher Rebecca Black, “Partyin, Partyin, YEAH!”
And it’s true, which leads us to today’s query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced “on-jin-you”) wonders if you’ve heard about our awesome new show, ‘Finally Friday’, where you can hang on-on-on with the folks from this website upon which you have clicked asking: What’s the best part of a Friday?

It has been many different things over the years. When I was in school, the best thing about Friday was getting OUT of school for the weekend. When I was in my teens, it was getting to start a weekend long D&D run with my old group (not to mention getting to eat the amazing food prepared by the DM’s wife, who could do almost magical things with food). In my late teens to mid 20’s, it was going to hang out with friends at the bowling alley.
Now in my mid 30’s, my favorite things about Friday are the start of special weekends in MMOs (there is almost always something going on, be it double XP or higher percentage drops of something and so on) and, during the school year, getting my goddaughters for the weekend (and we watch cheesy movies and make our own MST3K-type commentary).
Pizza and movie night time with my children.
