One of the wonderful parts of living where I do is the fact that, during my commute each day, I pass what seems to be an abandoned Mystery Machine (as seen above) outside of the potato chip factory. It’s one of those moments that is weirdly enjoyable in its randomness, and reminds me that even the most mundane setting can have elements of fantasy in it, making me think of a middle-aged Freddy making Doritos all day, then slogging home to a fiftyish Daphne who is addicated to diet pills and secretly having an affair with Velma. Not all real-life cartoons would be quite so depressing, though, as there’s also the option of visiting Mad King Ludwig’s Castle Neuschwanstein, the inspiration for Snow White’s Castle, or perhaps the real-life Smurf Forest, which is just outside Jersey City, leading us to today’s hand-painted query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) enjoyed parts of the drive across the desert this summer, and wouldn’t mind a trip down the real Route 66, even if there’s no ‘Mater to be had, asking: What cartoon attraction or location would you most want to visit, if it were only real?

I would like to visit the 1970’s Legion of Super-Heroes Headquarters located in Smallville Metropolis.
Tossup between Yamato/Argo and the SDF-1
I REALLY want to go to the Digital World. I’d prefer it to be the versions from either Digimon Adventure 01/02 or Digimon Tamers (my favorite Digimon series), but any would do. I wouldn’t even need to become a Digidestined/Digimon Tamer/etc, I just want to go to the Digital World and befriend some Digimon.
Toon Town from Who Framed Roger Rabbit would be an awesome place to visit having all the old cartoon characters in one place.
The Ghost Planet.
