  1. Hey guys, long time listener, first time commenter… the original author also wrote Bridge on the River Kwai, based on his personal experience as a POW.

    Inspiration for Planet of the Apes also came from watching Orangutans when he worked on rubber plantations… source: the forward on the novel I bought in a Belgian airport. Knew it’d come in handy!
