BOOM! Studios is making a lot of announcements leading up to the San Diego Comic Convention. One of them has to do with the teaser image they sent around last week, and confirms a prediction I made during last week’s Finally Friday live show.
According to the company spokesperson, BOOM! Studios has a four issue Sleepy Hollow mini-series planned, based on the events and characters from the popular FOX television series.
The first issue arrives in October and will be written by Marguerite Bennett, with Jorge Coelho providing art. Mr. Coelho did the teaser art featured above, which will serve as the Retailer Incentive Variant, while Phil Noto (a fave of mine) will do the regular cover.
BOOM! Studios told us that a formal announcement about the series is coming soon – Mid-September, which means the company may briefly mention it at the big convention at the end of the month.
If you aren’t familiar with the series, IMDB says, “Ichabod Crane is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers.”
Good news coming from BOOM! Studios. I’m looking forward to reading a really well done horror police procedural series, even if it is only four issues long.
