Zenescope Entertainment let us know that in August, Grimm Fairy Tales will start a brand new story beginning with issue #101.
In an email to Major Spoilers, Zenescope told us that Grimm Fairy Tales will be updated with a new cast, story, and an all new tone.
Described by Joe Brusha as “Harry Potter meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” Grimm Fairy Tales will follow a group of young highborns — beings from one of the immortal realms of Myst, Neverland, Oz, or Wonderland — as they begin to come into their powers on Earth. While the series will feature returning characters such as Sela, Red Riding Hood, Robyn Hood, Helsing, and more, the focus is squarely on telling a new story set in modern times that is accessible as a jumping on point while still satisfying returning readers.
The issue will be Written by Pat Shand with input from Zenescope founders Joe Brusha and Ralph Tedesco. The series will be drawn by Andrea Meloni.
Grimm Fairy Tales #101 will be released in August.
