When it comes to the modern day fan film, one only has to look at Kevin Rubio’s T.R.O.O.P.S. from 1997.

I remember a time when there wasn’t a YouTube, and if you wanted to watch this film online, you had to download a bunch of QuickTime movies, and figure out what order to watch them in.

Adventures of the Black Sheep Squadron chronicled in this Star Wars/COPS Parody considered by many to be ground zero for internet downloadable content. Cited by TIME Magazine 1999 as one of the Top 10 signposts of the Digital Revolution.
