New exercise trend – Sweat to the Force
Believe it or not, there are a number other people who are out of shape. That is why it is so cool that Downsize Fitness has developed a Jedi workout to get you in fit – and what better day to start an exercise program than on May the 4th!
Downsize Fitness, a gym chain specializing in working with people who have more that 50 pounds of weight to lose, has developed a whole suite of “Star Wars”-themed exercises to turn fans into Jedi-in-training. Costumes and props like lightsabers will be available for workout participants. Here’s a preview: the Sith Circuit workout consists of one minute each of Bantha Crawl, Help Me Obi-wan Kenobi You’re My Only Hope Squats, Sandpeople Yell Overhead Press, Yoda Carry Sandbag run, and Kessel Run Sprints.
Oh man, I remember doing the Kessel Run Sprints in gym class when I was a kid… I hated that gym coach. I don’t think I would hate the Downsize Fitness workout though – anything that gets people excited about exercise is a big bonus for me. So be it Sweatin’ to the Oldies, The DDP Yoga Workout, or The Jedi Workout, I’m ready to limber out these old bones and get my Lightsaber Leaps done before breakfast.
