A friend of mine has one of the original Boba Fett Halloween masks from 1979, that looks nothing like Boba Fett, but everything like the Mandalorian armor that we have seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  The Dented Helmet has a really cool infographic of the evolution of Boba’s helmet from prototype to final rendition.
