When know that 20th Century Fox has the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four franchises, so why are they announcing three movie release dates?

The big secret is a yet unnamed project scheduled for July 13, 2018.  While Fox is keeping mum on the project, I’m guessing another X-Men flick that follows close on the heals of X-Men: Days of Future Past that arrives May 23, 2014.  Of course it could be a third Fantastic Four movie, but considering the X-Men franchise has been much more lucrative for Fox, my money is on X-Men: Onslaught…

  2. well Singer has already confirmed xmen: apocalypse will be the next movie but 2018 might be a long time to wait if futures past ends up being successful.
