Oh dear, I wont say anything about this story, but Ghost Riders new look goes pretty high on my “Worst redesigns ever made of comic book characters”.
lol
Egads, This is a horrible redesign. He’s supposed to by “mythic” and undead — a real “flaming” skull _is_ Ghost Rider.
Sometimes they make these things to make you appreciate the original. Like New Coke. Give it 6 moths to a year. Blaze will be back. It’s all about selling comics.
It sort of looks like one of the Astro-Zombies from the Ted V Mikels’ 1968 craptacular of the same name.
The 90s seem to be influencing current Marvel/DC a bit TOO MUCH…
Well, you should note that DC’s editors today are mostly Marvel’s editors from the 90s, under the stewardship of Bob Harras himself…
The story isn’t terrible to be fair. I mean all the human-like people look bonkers but the story isn’t bad. His costume isn’t even really bad, given it’s Johnny Blaze influences, but that weird chrome mask is awful. It’s like the spirit of Stephen King’s Christine has possessed Robbie Reyes. (I wanted to call him Jaime)
