After this year’s Oscar broadcast (which I didn’t watch, but got the gist of from which jokes would trend on Twitter), I have come to the realization that nobody ever seems to reward the things that *I* find most entertaining: ‘Best Goofy Accent’, ‘Best Attempt To Approximate A Comic Book Costume In Basketball Skin’, ‘Best Use Of Gwyneth Paltrow In A Way That Makes Her Palatable.’ Indeed, the one thing that becomes clear after any and all awards shows is the fact that awards shows are inherently subjective, and that one man’s ‘Best Actor’ is the next man’s Matthew McConaughy. Still, it makes me wonder what you, the Faithful Spoilerites, might consider worthy of shiny statues, which begs today’s query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks a little bronze Orem with an exasperated eye-roll and a graduation cap would be interesting, asking: If you were in charge, who/what would you want to recognize with an award?

A Razzie award to the countless screenwriters who butchered various classic SF novels while making their movie. “I, Robot”, “Star Ship Troopers” and “I am Legend” come to mind.
I couldn’t agree more. Although I do technically like Starship Troopers as a movie (and I only mean the first one, not the sequels), I absolutely hate it as an adaptation of the source material.
Christina Masterson with “Cutest Pink Power Ranger Ever” award, narrowly beating Amy Jo Johnson who has held the title since the series started.
The Long Suffering Spouse award to my wife for putting up with all my nerdery over the years.
