The Suicide Squad is headed to the CW’s Arrow series, and we’ve got the first picture of the team – that doesn’t feature the Amanda Waller we all expect and want from our Suicide Squad.

(From left-to-right) Ben Turner aka the Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Mark Scheffer aka Shrapnel (Sean Maher), Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), Floyd Lawton aka Deadshot (Michael Rowe), Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson), and the reliable Diggle (David Ramsey)

So is it a big deal that Waller isn’t The Wall like we all remember pre-52? Is thin in for all heroes and heroines (and those that walk in the questionable areas of the law)?

The Suicide Squad episode airs on March 19, 2014. Check your local listings for show times.

Huh, might check this Arrow episode out. Also, no Captain Boomerang? Boo zero stars (kidding.) As for Amanda Waller, the actress may do an excellent job, but I’d be lying if I said something isn’t lost when she’s not the Wall. I don’t know quite how to put it, other than there was something powerful in JLU when she this older, stockier woman could stare down Batman better than even the most towering and muscular individuals.
