TOY FAIR 2014: LEGO announces coming sets based on Star Wars Rebels
We all know that toys are an incredibly important part to any television show that is being primarily marketed towards children, and no company knows this better than Lucasfilm. Star Wars Rebels showed off a character figure weeks ago based off the upcoming show, but they took it up a notch today at Toy Fair when they announced LEGO sets!
In the press release that was sent out no pictures were included, but ComingSoon.net has people at Toy Fair and they were able to snap a picture of one of the coming Star Wars Rebels LEGO sets.
LEGO describes The Ghost as having “dual cockpits, a 360-degree rotating turret, two spring-loaded shooters and ejecting escape pods” The minifigs included in this set as Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Hera Syndulla, Zeb and a Stormtrooper. The Ghost set will be 929 pieces and retail for $89.99.
The second set announced from this new line in is the Phantom. This set is another ship from Star Wars Rebels and will be able to be combined with The Ghost set. The Phantom model features 234 pieces and includes folding wings, tools and a detachable cockpit with cargo hold making it seem like a very versatile set for a smaller price tag of $24.99. It warms my heart that a new generation of LEGO and Star Wars fans might just be created when Star Wars Rebels comes to television in the fall.
