The Planet of the Apes franchise has seen a form of a resurgance in the last couple of years that started with Rise of the Planet of the Apes and will continue in 2014 with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Well it seems like the Planet of the Apes will receive another long title as a third movie is already in the works.

Matt Reeves, director of  Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, has already signed on for another Apes movie even though Dawn has yet to make its way into theaters. From what we have seen, Dawn looks like it will be an excellent film and one that people should be looking forward to in 2014, but we have only seen one trailer and a handful of images. However, the big wigs upstairs must seen enough potential in Reeves to sign him on as a director and co-writer, which should say something about the quality of the coming film.

No other details have been released about the third film, but I have would speculate that we will see a summer 2017 release date.

The big question is what will the front part of the third movie’s title be? We have already seen Rise of and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,  so what will the third one bring? Give us your ideas in the comments below!
