Marvel will see Sony’s announcement of an expanded Spider-Man cinematic universe and answer with confirming that a character will be returning to the screen in sequel to one of the most successful films of all time.

Announcing that Don Cheadle will be coming back into the role of Colonel James Rhode is by no means as big of news as stand alone Spider-Man movies, it does have to make you stop and wonder what Rhodey’s role will be in the already character packed film.

One would have to assume that he would back in the War Machine suit and with rumors continually floating around that Robert Downey Jr. is looking to step away from Iron Man could we see Rhodey taking the long term place of Tony Stark? Not implying that Tony couldn’t create a new suit, but his whole collection of Iron Man suites were destroyed at the end of Iron Man 3.

Now it’s your turn! Take to the comments and speculate what Don Cheadle being in Avengers: Age of Ultron could mean!

For me, Terrance Howard had far better chemistry with Robert Downey Jr than Don Cheadle. I would rather see him back in the suit.
