Question-and-answer sessions with top celebrities like Stan Lee, Bruce Campbell, a dual panel with “Star Trek” captains William Shatner and Scott Bakula, evening parties, a special 50th anniversary celebration of “Doctor Who,” a screening of the new animated film Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United, meet-and-greets, adult and kids costume contests, film festival and an array of comics and pop culture themed panels comprise the robust featured programming schedule at Wizard World Austin Comic Con, Nov. 22-24 at the Austin Convention Center. Most programming is included as part of the standard event admission.

Some of the highlights of the schedule include:

  • Interactive Q&A sessions with Lee (Sat., 11 a.m.), Campbell (Sat., 5:45 p.m.), Shatner and Bakula (Sat., 3:45 p.m.), WWE® Superstar John Cena® (Sat, 3 p.m.), Robert Rodriguez (Sat., 4:45 p.m.), Jewel Staite (Sun., 12:30 p.m.), Ralph Macchio (Sat., 1:30 p.m.), Erica Durance (Sat., 11:30 a.m.) and other celebrities
  • Wizard World Austin Comic Con Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Celebration Event (Sat., fan meetup 1 p.m., followed by the simulcast screening of the series’ BBC AMERICA 50th Anniversary special, Doctor Who: The Day of The Doctor at 1:50 p.m.)
  • World premiere of the soon-to-be-released animated movie, Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United (Sat., 12:30 p.m.)
  • The Art Of Frank Frazetta, curated by Rodriguez, with original Frazetta masterwork paintings (museum donation required)

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Austin Comic Con show hours are Friday, Nov. 22, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 23, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 24, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Austin Comic Con is also the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character – and some never before dreamed – will roam the convention floor, often stopping by the Cosplay Stage, the ideal place to see and be seen.
