Disney sent us a teaser image yesterday, but our Real World Jobs prevented us from sharing until just now. Disney is telling us to ask for something Weird at this weekend’s D23 Expo to get a first look at a new project from Marvel and Disney.

What could it be? My first reaction was something to do with the Haunted Mansion – perhaps changing the attraction into the Sanctum Sanctorum as part of a Doctor Strange movie tie-in, but then why would they ask us to ask for something weird?

It’s certainly not Weird Tales, that’s owned by Nth Dimension Media.

Looking around, it looks like it will be a new comic book from Marvel based on an early concept for the Haunted Mansion called Museum of the Weird.  We know at one point there was a sequel to The Haunted Mansion in the works with Eddie Murphy, but that has yet to materialize.

We’ll find out more this weekend, but all signs point to something having to do with the Haunted Mansion attraction.
