Wizard World has assembled one of its largest and most diverse collections of comics creators for next month’s Chicago Comic Con, headlined by such notable superstars as J. Scott Campbell, Alan Davis, Esad Ribic, Pasqual Ferry and others among the 325 scheduled to attend the show, August 8-11 at Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. In all, 16 Eisner Award winners and nominees, including Hall of Famers Stan Lee and Neal Adams, dot the roster.

In addition to Campbell (“Avengers vs. X-Men,” “Spider-Man”), Davis (“Captain America,” “Thor”), Ribic (“Wolverine,” “JLA”), Ferry (“Fantastic Four,” “Hulk”) and Adams (“Batman,” “Green Lantern”), Wizard World Chicago Comic Con’s Artist Alley will feature top creators such as Harvey Tolibao (“Green Arrow,” “Silver Surfer”), Scott Snyder (“Detective Comics,” “American Vampire”), Greg Capullo (“Batman,” “Spawn”), Kenneth Rocafort (“Superman,” “Red Hood”), Ramon F. Bachs (“Batgirl,” “LoSH”), Francis Portela (“The Flash,” “Batman and Robin”) and Greg Land (“Thor,” “Ultimate Avengers”).

Eisner winners attending include Snyder, Franco Aureliani (“Billy Batson And The Magic Of Shazam!,” “Tiny Titans”), Art Baltazar (“Superman Family Adventures,” “Tiny Titans”), Andrew Pepoy (“Star Wars,” “Iron Man”, appearing Saturday only), Nate Powell (“March,” “Swallow Me Whole”) and Skottie Young (“X-Men,” “Wizard of Oz”). Those attending who have been nominated for the prestigious award are Ethan Van Sciver (“Firestorm,” “Green Lantern”), David Mack (“Daredevil: End of Days,” “Kabuki”), David Chelsea (“Snow Angel,” “24-Hour Comics”), Brad Guigar (“Evil Inc,” “Phables”), Rafael Nieves (“The Apocalypse Plan,” “Bob Howard: Plumber Of The Unknown”), Sara Richard (“Kitty & Dino,” “My Little Pony”), Ben Templesmith (“Wasteland,” “Buffy”) and Billy Tucci (“Birds of Prey,” “Green Lantern Corp”).

A few of the standout celebrities at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con are Michael Shannon, who stars as “General Zod” in the summer blockbuster Man of Steel, Zachary Quinto, Star Trek and “American Horror Story” star, Zero Dark Thirty headliner John Barrowman, WWE® Superstar CM Punk® and Norman Reedus of “The Walking Dead” and Boondock Saints. Chicago Comic Con is the fifth in the 2013 series produced by Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) and will also feature a variety of activities, exhibitors and special attractions throughout the four days.

Additionally, all full price attendees will receive a free copy of the Exclusive Variant Cover of The Walking Dead #1 comic, available only at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con.

Wizard World Comic Con events bring together thousands of fans of all ages to celebrate the best in pop-fi, pop culture, movies, graphic novels, comics, toys, video gaming, television, sci-fi, gaming, original art, collectibles, contests and more. Wizard World Chicago Comic Con show hours are Thursday, Aug. 8, 3-8 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 9, noon – 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 11, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
