The latest cover of Entertainment Weekly has been revealed and who should be gracing the cover but your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and upcoming nemesis Electro! The magazine has released more photos than just that, and you can see all of them after the jump!
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, opening May 2, 2014, for Peter Parker (Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
This isn’t the first image that we have seen Electro, but it is the first we have seen with all the finishing touches put on him, and personally I love the look they have achieved. Admittedly, the photo of Foxx as his character and what he will actually will look like in motion could be different.
It looks like if you want to read about the decision to change up Spider-Man’s costume in the film it will be discussed inside this issue of EW, so you may actually want to pick up this issue.
Do these images make you excited for the upcoming sequel? Do they turn you away more? Or, do these not sway your opinion at all? Let us know in the comments below!

Spiderman vs Black lightning with Blue Tooth implant. Foxx still should have been Tombstone.
I’m so glad they’ve gone back to a more traditional look for the Spiderman costume.
