Recently, I was shocked and delighted by a brush with a celebrity who shall remain nameless, during which she tweeted me regarding my appreciation of her gorgeous sleeve tattoos. For my part, I’ve always thought that I might enjoy a tattoo, but have stayed away due to my general aversion to things that hurt and a short attention span that has kept me from ever being able to decide on what the perfect theoretical ink for me would be. I like the idea of perhaps adorning myself with Doctor Who imagery, but then the question becomes, which Doctor? Or should it be the TARDIS? What about just the Seal of Rassilon? Or perhaps the 3-D Man, but should it be the Kirby version, the Buckler or the awesome Steve Rude? Perhaps, when they’ve created psychoreactive ink that will allow me to change my tattoos, I’ll finally be able to commit to a ‘permanent’ drawing (and don’t you envy the artist with a canvas of this magnitude?)
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is torn between a giant King Cobra on my chest or a full-body tattoo of me, only thinner, asking: Assuming that you had already decided to get one, what pop culture image or icon would you choose for your next (or first) tattoo?
