When Marvel and ComiXology first announced their combined effort to offer 700 free #1 the entire Internet abuzz. This excitment eventually resulted few being able to actually download the comics due to massive server failures. Well the companies have regrouped and are planning to offer the comics this week.
Earlier this morning, Comixology sent us this press release from CEO David Steinburger:

So, it seems that company is planning on dealing with large amounts of server usage by staggering access times for those that actually sign up to receive their free comics. Hopefully this will result in fans being able to download and read the comics that started their favorite series without paying the thousands of dollars to own the original physical copies.
As the release states, make sure you register for the deal before the end of the day Tuesday.
