Honestly, if this is anything like Magic, which from my experience it is, then this is the best time to not only get in on the game, but just have fun playing in a tournament. Everyone else will be just as confused as you by all the shiny new cards and releases and pre-releases are just a blast.

I’ve played this. It’s a lame attempt by WotC to get kids who don’t play Magic. I guess there is a show to tie into this product.
Of all the new TCG systems I have checked out only Vanguard seems promising, simple rules to learn hard to master, balanced “lvl up” mechanics and resource limitation (think of it as playing with a set number of mana, no less no more).
Kajudo and Battle Spirits are either too limiting in it’s play style or too limiting in resource management.
