Great Episode guys. I enjoyed listening to Matthew’s opinion on the new season of PW.
I personally really enjoyed the first episode of Megaforce. The references to the previous seasons were a realt treat. Only downside was that it almost felt like an almost beat by beat remake of the original pilot episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (even the opening theme song is similiar).
I hope episode two starts to give this season its own identity.

To be fair, the previous two seasons (Samurai and Super Samurai) also used the MMPR theme with a little reworking (with this theme replacing the “Rangers Together, Samurai Forever” with “Rangers Forever, (Megaforce) All Together”).

There were too many throwbacks in the first episode to me, including a few lines taken from MMPR (a couple directly lifted, a couple slightly reworked), but at the same time I did feel a bit nostalgic because of them.
