When Robert E. Howard started writing Conan stories, they were specifically written for the pulps.  Howard wrote a lot of stories, but only wrote one Conan novel.  Now Dark Horse Comics is set bring that novel to life in comic form.

The Hour of the Dragon will be written by Timothy Truman, with art by Tomas Giorello and colors by Jose Villarrubia, and will be collected in two six-issue mini-series.

King Conan has faced many threats to his throne in Aquilonia—but none more deadly than a traitorous alliance backed by the resurrected sorcerer Xaltotun, at whose command mountains crumble!

We have quite a while to wait for The Hour of the Dragon to arrive.  The first part kicks off in October 2013, with the second arc, Conan: The Conqueror arriving in February 2014.  It is far enough away, but considering the traction happening with a new Conan movie, this mini-series seems like it is going to land at just the right time.
