Official news from Marvel has come down the wire regarding the Avengers Arena teaser that we saw in days past. Find out what the publisher has to say about the book that has fans screaming, “Stop!” right after the jump.

This April, the death toll rises as Avengers Arena #8 kicks off an all-new murderous story from rising star creators writer Dennis Hopeless (X-Men: Season One) and artist Kev Walker (Thunderbolts). As part of Marvel NOW!, Avengers Arena increases the tension amongst the Marvel Universe’s teen heroes, as the industry’s top creators join the top Super Heroes to deliver all-new ongoing series, great for new and lapsed readers alike!

    A press release? Was there any reason to bait people in by promising coverage of some big controversy just to give us a press release? If I actually cared about the title, I would have clicked anyway. Now I just get to leave with a bad taste in my mouth.
