Skelton Crew Studio has been quietly climbing to the top of my merchandise creator line. They’ve been knocking it out of the park with their Locke & Key replica line, and pre-orders for The Black Axe, from Mouse Guard, is now available, and as we slide into the end of the year, the company has announced a new line featuring props from Hellboy.

Mike Mignola and Skelton Crew Studio have announced an agreement to create a limited prop replica line called the Artifact Archive Collection featuring items from Hellboy and B.P.R.D.

“I’m approaching these as pieces that would have been in the pouches of Hellboy’s belt or picked up in B.P.R.D. members’ travels,” said Israel Skelton, the owner of Skelton Crew Studio in a prepared press release. “The possibilities are almost endless and so awesome.”

Upcoming replicas include the Elf Shot from “Hellboy: The Wild Hunt,” Bishop Zrinyi’s Button from “Hellboy: In the Chapel of Moloch” and the Bog Roosh’s Nail from “Hellboy: The Third Wish.” The first release is planned for winter 2013.

I can’t wait for the first of these to roll out. Now all I need is a life-size statue of Hellboy to include with these replicas.
