The art of Boris Vallejo is always full of detail, mood, and depending on the subject matter, half naked women.  Yamato USA has announced it is taking Vallejo’s 1978 Dragon Maiden work and turning it into a 1/6th scale statue.

Drawing upon the dragon maiden themes of fairy tales and legends, this striking 1/6 scale resin statue from a sculpt by Eric Sosa and Shin Tanabe stands approximately 35cm tall including an elaborate diorama display base.  But this is no damsel in distress.  Confidently poised with dagger at her side, she needs neither saint nor hero to save her.

There are only 500 statues being made, so if you want one, you better order this soon if you want to get it by February 2013.
