The Heavy Metal’s 35th Anniversary Release Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse has launched its third art contest “What is your Vision of Famine?”. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse series has garnered high reviews wherever it has been read. The series itself is available digitally and in print and the final book in the series is hitting stores this November. Artists everywhere have been asking for months when the next art contest would be happening and the answer is now! Entering is simple. The contest went live October 31, 2012 and will end December 17, 2012. All entries MUST be posted by the end of the day December 17, 2012. The final top 7 will be chosen by Simon Bisley (Judge Dredd, Lobo) Kevin Eastman (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Michael Mendheim (Four Horsemen creator and writer). Judges will post the top 7 pieces on Thursday, December 20th. The Voting period will run from Friday, December 21, 2012 at 12:01 am to Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 11:59pm (The “Voting Period”) immediately following the posting of the Judges announcements of the Top 7 Artwork entries on Monday, January 14. 2013.
