When the email first came in telling me about the WETA Workshop and Air New Zealland teaming for a new air safety video, I rolled my eyes with the expectation that the bit was going to be totally absent of anything of interest.

I’ll admit I was wrong.

Hobbits, dwarves, and wizards take flight in Air New Zealand’s (The Official Airline of Middle-earth) latest in-flight safety video, ‘An Unexpected Briefing.’ Elven Air New Zealand crew members instruct passengers on in-flight safety for their journey to Middle-earth in this brand new video, which will run on Air New Zealand flights beginning this week, leading up to the worldwide release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Say what you want about how beautiful and organically built Rivendell is, their airport sucks. They don’t even have a B. Dalton.
