The process of narrowing down the long list of entrants of the Major Spoilers Costume Contest has been interesting to say the least. Some have been aggressively arguing on who everyone should vote for, while others want everyone to walk away a winner. Still others are trying to figure out the voting directions…
We’ve narrowed the list down to ten semifinalists, and you can check out each of their costumes, after the jump.
The entire Major Spoilers staff was super impressed with all the entries we received this year!

Very good choices. Each of the finalists have great costumes.
I’m finding it difficult to weigh the relative merits of some of the entrants.
How much weight should we assign the artistic merit of the photo composition?
That photo of Dr. Strange is amazing, but I’m not sure if the total effect should place his costume above Hobgoblin’s.

Maybe it’s just because it’s Halloween but I find myself leaning towards the man holding the pumpkin.
But they are all pretty damn good. Love the use of finding some crazy carpet to lay on for Dr Strange…that was messing with my mind. :)
I noticed the carpet too. It looks like it was shot in one of the hotels in Atlanta.
It is. It was taken during Dragon Con at one of the host hotels.
Wow, someone who makes that Cap mark/helmet thing work. He should win just for that.

I gotta give it to the Hobgoblin and Tim Drake Robin. Both of those are great costumes. Captain America would be my #3.

It isn’t a Two-Face motif, there is a character like that named Composite Superman that is part Superman, part Batman. Unless it is a coincidence, I believe that is who he’s supposed to be.

I have to say, Hobgoblin’s costume is amazing.
Would be nice to know who made their own costumes and who paid to have them made by someone else.
