NYCC’12: Kickstarter to appear at convention

by

We’ve featured Kickstarter projects again and again (and again) on this site, and there is a reason for that – there are many great small and indie projects that are trying to get off the ground and the site is a great central location to organize a campaign.  Kickstarter will appear at the upcoming New York Comic-Con to spread the message about the company, and tell creators how it can help them.

Panel: “Kickstarter and Indie Comics!” (Saturday, 4pm-5pm, RM 1A08)

If you want to learn more about running your own indie comics project, be sure to stop by our panel with the creators of Benign Kingdom. We’ll talk to George Rohac, Ananth Panagariya, Becky Dreistadt, Evan Dahm, and KC Green about what goes into a creating a successful Kickstarter project and how to build a lasting community of fans.

There are some events at conventions that are there to serve fans, and there are some events at conventions that are there to serve egos.  And then there are events and companies like Kickstarter that are there to help further other people’s agendas and promote themselves at the same time.  These panels and signings are definitely events attendees should be checking out.
