There is a time period between the last episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender and the first episode of Avatar: The Legend of Korra that leaves room for a lot of stories and universe building to take place.  We’ve already reviewed Avatar: The Last Airbender on the Major Spoilers Podcast, and it received generally favorable responses from the co-hosts.  Sales of the book have been solid as well, and now Dark Horse Comics has announced that The Promise is getting a hardcover library edition that arrives in February 2013.

I expect this book will sell very well, not only to libraries, but to those that want a nicely bound trade of the series for their future reading pleasure.
