Deadline is reporting that former Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston has been cast as the villain in the upcoming Thor movie sequel.

Eccleston will play Malekith the Accursed who first appeared in The Mighty Thor #344 as the ruler of the Dark Elves who reside in Svartalfheim – one of the Nine Realms of Asgard.

    Was really hoping they would bring in Surtur and through that story Beta Ray Bill. On the other hand, I love Eccleston, can’t wait to see it.
