With Disney’s purchase of Marvel some three years ago, fans have been waiting for a cross-over between each companies wide range of properties. Coming next summer will be the first such event broadcast to your television screen, and I don’t think it was possible to make a better choice.

Yes! Evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz joining forces with real villains like M.O.D.O.K. and Red Skull, Phineas and Ferb helping out the Avengers, Baljeet turning into a mini-Hulk, how could this not be the perfect crossover? The plot seems to follow the line of most Phineas and Ferb episodes; Doofensmirtz invents some -inator, Perry the Platypus stops him, the -inator still manages to go off, Phineas and Ferb deal with what happened, while still not finding out their pet is a secret agent.

I do believe it is time for Phineas and Ferb to take back the stop of most watched cable even from The Walking Dead. At least, I know when the premiere day comes next summer I will proudly proclaim, “I know what we’re going to go day.”

The only thing to mashup more Disney properties, would be to throw in the Muppets as well.

Oh this is just too perfect. There aren’t a lot of crossovers like this that I’d be too excited for. If this had happened about 5-10 years ago with something like Recess, Kim Possible or American Dragon, it just wouldn’t be the same (although I could see Lilo and Stitch, which oddly enough crossed over with the previous three series I mentioned).

I enjoy cross overs for fun. I am ok with Archie in Glee and The Finn-Flechers meeting Spider Man. With Disney owning ESPN all I need is Ms Piggy to guest host on a Green Bay game for my life to be complete.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like that happen, actually. Just about any time there is a Muppets project coming out, they have often guest starred and on more than one occasion guest hosted a TV show (I even remember an NBC New Years thing back in the mid 90’s with Miss Piggy guest hosting). So it really seems like it could happen eventually.
