Since the San Diego Comic-Con opened its doors on Wednesday evening, fans have been able to get up close with the various Iron Man armor costumes that have appeared in the movies. Today, the studio unveiled the armor Tony Stark will wear in Iron Man 3.

it doest even slightly look like the extremis armour. have you seen the extremis armour?
The 1st layer, remember how it has 2? The 1st one looks a lot like that with the bigger one flying and sticking to it.
the base layer in the comics was basically a skin tight suit, which this isnt. maybe ur right that there will be parts added on but somehow i doubt it. I believe thats the the suit we will be seeing in the movie. Honestly i have no prob with that. Hes had so many dif suits over the years and this one fits right in with the rest imo.

Okay what’s with everyone thinking it looks like the Extremis Armor? It doesn’t look anything like it.
The base layer was mostly gold, if they are going for Extremis having a base armor where you can add red armor boosts would make sense, well that’s my opinion/wild guess.
Think add-ons controlled by Stark’s mind via extremis flying and sticking to the gold parts so we get the standard red/gold color scheme adjusting to whatever the situation needs.
At first glance, I’ve got to say that I’m not a huge fan of the armor having so much gold, but I’m certainly excited for another Iron Man movie. I’m confident that the armor will look just fine after all of the special effects, editing, and all that other filmy process stuff.
I wouldn’t say it looks awful but compared to the rest of them armors we’ve seen this is by far to poorest looking version.
