On the eve of the Major Spoilers anniversary celebration, and with new, bold innovations on the way, we are looking for some incredibly talented interns to join the Major Spoilers Crew!
WHAT WE WANT:
WRITERS!
Major Spoilers is looking for talented interns who can write 2-3 articles per week (usually reviews), that contain fair and honest reflections and opinions on the work. Major Spoilers cover the comics and pop culture industries, so there is a lot out there.
Ideal candidates have the following qualities:
- Honesty. We pride ourselves in being completely honest in all of our reviews, articles and commentary. As long as you are honest in your view, and are not altering your viewpoint to purposefully please/anger A) readers, B) publishers, or C) The Robot Overlord, then you are someone we are interested in.
- Be willing to commit to at least two reviews per week for an entire year.
- Be well balanced in your reviews.
- Be willing to accept negative criticism yourself, and be willing to turn the other cheek.
- Ability to work on your own.
- Being open to not covering content from just the Big Two.
You will be responsible to deliver articles that are on-time, have been fact checked, edited, and include the necessary links and images.
WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU:
We will provide you with the necessary contacts, and sources for your topics and reviews. You will be part of the Major Spoilers Network, and since we have been around since 2006, you will be part of a site that is well known. Plus, if you are college student, you may earn college credit by writing about something you love!
WE WANT YOU NOW
We want to connect with you, and we want you on the team as quickly as possible. To help speed that process, please submit a post ready article-opinion-review-feature that is at least 500 words in length, with all the necessary images. Take a look at this review as a sample for the way your content should be structured.
If you blow us away (and we know you will, because only the most awesome people apply), you will receive further instructions on what you need to do next.
I honestly can’t wait to see what you have to offer!
Send in your submission to submission@majorspoilers.com.
Don’t Wait! Major Spoilers is moving ahead fast, we don’t want to leave anyone behind!

This is a great opportunity! However, I was hoping you guys could clarify something. Should submissions be sent as an emailed attachement (i.e., an attached Microsoft Word document), or simply sent in the body of the email?
Yes, as an attachment.
That sounds great! I wish I had the time…
Would Major Spoilers be open to having a writer who specializes in the anime/manga industry? I’ve seen Major Spoilers review some manga and there are movie reviews so would someone who knows and writes about Anime/Mangal have a shot at this position, or is it more centered towards writers who are more current with the American comics industry?

Well, I’m not the editor-in-chief, so I can’t say for certain, but I believe that the primary expectation is proficiency and regular output. If you feel like you fit the criteria and can commit to the review schedule (i.e., minimum two reviews per week) my advice would be to put together a sample of your work and send it to submission@majorspoilers.com. In my experience, we welcome reviews of all manner and genre of comics, movies and what-have-you.
Is there a deadline for entries?
