Geektyrant is reporting that Warner Bros. has cast the voice actors to play Batman and Superman in the upcoming Lego movie. Take the jump for some details.
The World’s finest will be played by Will Arnett (Batman) and Channing Tatum (Superman) and are joining Chris Pratt who is voicing the lead character Emmett.
Emmet is “an ordinary, law-abiding, rules-following, perfectly average Lego mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary Master Builder. He’s drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the universe together, a journey for which he is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.”
With a story like that, one has to wonder what part the pair will play in the film and what other properties Lego has that they may be able to utilize, such as Harry Potter or, unlikely though it may be, Star Wars. Since the movie isn’t slated for release until February of 2014 though, we have plenty of time to speculate.
