Did you get the first issue of Before Watchmen?  Did you read the official Major Spoilers review?  Are you looking for more Before Watchmen in your life?  Looks like DC has some good news for you.

More and more, publishers have been committing to digital release, and looking for new ways to capitalize on the digital age.  Even if you haven’t committed to buying every single issue of the Before Watchmen project, you can still enjoy the serialized pirate tale, ‘Curse of The Crimson Corsair’ from DC online!

In each new issue of BEFORE WATCHMEN, there will be a two-page back-up story, THE CURSE OF THE CRIMSON CORSAIR, written by original series editor Len Wein with art by original series colorist John Higgins.

Every Wednesday we will be posting each two-page installment here on the DC Comics website for free. So, be sure to come back weekly and keep up with the harrowing tale of Gordon McClachlan in The Curse of the Crimson Corsair!

I’m actually somewhat relieved to hear this, as I didn’t know if I’d be collecting all the Before Watchmen tie-ins, but was kind of intrigued by the first chapter of this tale…

Matthew Peterson

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture!

And a nice red uniform.

The image is way too small on their site, and there does not seem to be a way to enlarge it.
