Though there are a number of fans totally against Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles movie, the studios and director are moving ahead.  Paramount Pictures has announced that principal photography for the movie kicks off this summer.

One way the studio plans to cut costs is by shooting in Vancouver, instead of the United States, which doesn’t make a lot of sense when there are so many talented individuals currently looking for work in H’wood… I guess all that pirating does have an impact… but that is a diatribe for another time.

Jonathan Liebesman is directing the movie based on the script by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, with the movie scheduled to hit theaters on December 25, 2013.  Man, just imagine all the toy and holiday gift giving opportunities Paramount is giving the toy companies of the world!
