I’ve watched the official first trailer for Max von Sydow’s Branded a couple of times already, and it has some of the strangest visuals I have ever seen.

A journey into a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive. One man’s (Ed Stoppard) passion to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.

This movie feels like a modern retelling of They Live.

  1. The very first post for this on IMDB’s message boards also compared it to “They Live”. Looks like we’re not the only ones seeing that.

  2. And is it just me or do you guys get a young-Bruce Campbell-vibe from this Ed Stoppard? Might just be the chin…
